4 Top Suiting Trends for 2023 with Beggars Run

It’s no secret Beggars Run are one of our absolute favourite menswear and suiting companies. Based in East London and our go-to whenever anyone asks for recommendations for cool, style-savvy and absolutely top tier quality and craftsmanship.

Chuffed then that they are in PACT23 and even more chuffed they have put together the inside story on what the style-savvy to-be-weds are asking for when it comes to suits this year.

Over to Beggars Run head honcho Cian McAuliffe!

  1. RELAXED CUTS, WIDER LEGS AND HIGHER RISE

'We’re seeing more guys asking for a more relaxed cut, allowing the cloth to drape nicely, especially adding a little bit more room down the leg with a higher rise, which helps flatter the silhouette. Comfort is king.  With stripes and flecks coming in strong.

2. EARTHY TONES AND TEXTURED FABRICS

Earthy tones like browns and greens are proving a nice alternative to the ever dependent dark blue.  11 wale corduroy, for us, is a perennial - always offers something a little different, which when cut well, or with a waistcoat added, looks relaxed yet sharp.

3. RELAXED FIT DOUBLE BREASTED JACKETS AND SHIRTS WITH LONGER COLLARS

Also seeing more double breasted jackets coming through the order book.
With our bespoke shirts we’re seeing more guys go for a longer collar and again a departure from the slim fit to a more relaxed silhouette.

4. BRINGING COLOUR AND PATTERN THROUGH TIES AND POCKET SQUARES

Florals and paisley ties add a bit of drama and fun to a more formal outfit with wool knit ties bringing a dash of elegance throughout the seasons.  Lively pocket squares are often chosen to give a dark suit an injection of colour and cheer!  With the more vibrant suits and simple white linen pocket nicely breaks up the colour and riffs off the shirt cuffs and collar.
