We are delighted to showcase this fresh and joyous wedding, influenced by the graphic designer couples’ time in Japan, their love for the capital’s retro, eurphoric City Pop music genre, its 80s pastel aesthetic and the mountain vistas which were the backdrop of their time there together. We are also thrilled to talk through how one of our Most Curious fam, Kerri of accessory brand Francis + Louise created a bespoke print based on the above brief which then ran through the whole day, from the ceremony set, the groom’s and Mums’ accessories to the motif for the Photo Booth frames! The dress and cake are also by Most Curious dreamy suppliers Paper to Lace and ARD Bakery respectively! Read on to hear groom Lewis’s story of the day as well as Kerri’s words on how it all came together.

Read MoreI have been planning weddings in New York’s beautiful Central Park since my own wedding there in 2011. Many of my clients getting married in Central Park are visitors to New York, mostly Brits. Some of my couples bring a group of family and friends with them, and some elope to New York, just the two of them. For some of our clients, it’s their first time in New York and for others, they have visited before and feel like they know the city and it means something special to them. Each wedding is unique, just as all of our the couples are, but here are my top five tips that might be helpful to anyone considering getting married in New York:

Read MoreOOOF! A sumptuous treat for us all on the blog today from the very special Kala Waya Collections.
We first worked with Kala Waya at the London 22 show, when founder Niki took a punt on us and showcased her pieces on the catwalk, expertly styled by Laurel Hunter. Niki came along and was nothing but pure passion and fire for her pieces, the models who were to wear them and the creative space she carved out with the team in putting her looks together as a whole. We’ll be handing the floor over to Niki today to tell you about this inspirational shoot she engineered earlier this year, which we are honoured to have been chosen to show. But just a little bit of background Kala Waya Collections is a range of beautiful hair adornment pieces, designed, with love and skill, intentionally for natural kinks, coils and locs in mind.
Read MoreGood Grief.. were the words that involuntarily came out of my mouth when I saw this incredible shoot pop up on my feed, a masterpiece in chasing the light, by Osman of Wolf & Co Photography.
The creamy, buttery tone and feel, the swell of the fabrics in the separates by the dreamy Bon Bride , against the harsh and hard elements and scenery of Botany Bay. And the way the light, shot in both 35mm Film (the first 6 shots here) and Digital gives the collection of images an arc and a story.
Was struggling to whittle to 10 for the grid so have put a larger selection here for your viewing pleasure, thank you Osman!
Jewellery is by Grace and Kin
The beautiful model is Sabine who also did her own glorious make up and hair.
What a masterpiece in both light, fashion and bridal photography. Enjoy!

Read MoreFor me and so many others, this country is seriously hard to navigate at the moment. There are plenty of people articulating this a lot better than I could, but I want to add my voice to the many many voices, with shared generational colonial trauma. To carry and share out some of that emotional labour it takes to keep putting yourself out there, especially when you know it will be received with hate and vitriol, in the name of ‘respect’…. cont…
Read MoreJuly is Disability Pride and we are delighted to show this fantastic collaborative piece of creative work engineered by Nastia Nizalova of Kent -based Nnastia Photography, that not only showcases a disabled real life couple but is intentionally formed solely from the input and inclusion of disabled and disability friendly suppliers. This in itself sets it apart as something special and noteworthy, and something so important, even before the camera took its first click! So we had no question about whether we would love to include it when our coalition member Kathryn Palmer Skillings wondered whether we might like to show it. Obviously the fact that the images are an absolute lavender sprig, velvet ribbon, embroidered place cards, macaroon dream is a wonderful bonus!

Read MoreRoe Vs Wade… I wrote something long - as per! So I’ve been trying to edit it for here for days, but I’ll put it on the blog and keep it short on here!
But essentially ….every day is a good day to make it clear we are a wedding space that does our best to celebrate and actively champion body autonomy and joy over your lifestyle and love styles!
Because every day is a day that body autonomy and autonomy over lifestyles and love styles is under fire.
But today is seems like a VERY good day to do that.
Read MoreA total treat on the blog today! Our first since our post show break. A really interesting and uplifting interview with our bridal Next 2022 winner, in the fashion category - Ballad Bride!
In this spotlight though we get to learn about this fresh new brand (started in the April of Lockdown 1!) and how founder Laura merges a sense of ritual, feminine energy, fashion, design and magic into this exciting new venture. She strips back and links the design of a wedding look to something that is channeled from it’s wearer - using visualisation and meditations to denounce all the labels and restrictions we as modern people put upon ourself and society puts on us, in order to bring the truly personal and powerful back to the art of dressing. And especially dressing for your wedding day. Grounding her wearers into connecting back to what it is that makes them feel beautiful, full of love, joy and empowered.
Read on to see what path led Laura here, how the show was for her, what it was like to win, what her dream wedding would look like, how to connect with the brand, and whats’ next for Ballad Bride.

I identify as genderfluid or nonbinary—labels are floating around, but they’re personal. I’m married; I have a three year old son. My day job is a painter and decorator—occasional fabrication for events—building props for drag queens…the last one was a table with a fake bottom to pull up a baguette!”

Read More“I work differently from a lot of cake makers—I don’t offer sketches,” she shares, anticipating that the couples who book her will rely on a shared aesthetic and mutual trust that will let the perfect work of art take form organically. This practice is done in part to offer her couples a surprise on their wedding day. “Generally things have been planned to death,” she laments. She enjoys the way the cake will take shape in her mind when she focuses on it long-term as she and the couple stay in contact via her cake subscription services, offering them cake each month during the lead-up to their wedding day. The couples influence the cakes, she assures me, but Sarah is willing to let the cake take control. “I like the cake to develop as I’m making it. Cake doesn’t necessarily adhere to a 2-D sketch—especially if you work with textures. It won’t crack where you say it does, it’ll crack where it wants,” she advises. “When we make sugar flowers or wafer paper flowers I go with what the cakes need—rather than replicating what a real flower looks like. I don’t try to control it too much. Too much control lends itself to a non-organic thing,” Sarah says, preferring a “wild and fluid” aesthetic like that of artistic influences Van Gogh and Renoir.

Read MoreSage Flowers, a Peckham-based floral studio, has been going strong since 2018. Often it’s your friends who play matchmaker to couple you up, but it was Iona and Romy’s partners at the time who struck a match between this pair. They bumped into each other while out clubbing and their boyfriends had the genius idea to keep the party going—Iona had already left a long career in restaurant management to pursue floristry and was working in a flower shop. Romy was ready to stop and smell the roses, so to speak, after working in healthcare.
